Things to do
There are a lot of day-trips you can do!
- Treviso: Ideal for a relaxing afternoon stroll. Enjoy a spritz.
- Padova: It is both historic and a university city. So you can find a bit of everything. The botanic garden is impressive. Prato della Valle is one of the biggest squares in Europe.
- Asolo: Known as the "City of a Hundred Horizons," this medieval hilltop village is one of the most picturesque towns in Italy. It's the perfect spot for a slow afternoon walk up to the fortress (La Rocca) followed by an aperitivo in the main square.
- Walk in the Montello: A unique wooded hill just south of the Prosecco area. It's a fantastic spot for a nature walk or a bike ride away from the crowds. The area is crossed by paths dotted with WWI history and packed with fantastic rustic osterie where you can eat local specialties.
- Valdobbiadene & The Prosecco Hills: Since you'll already be in the UNESCO World Heritage Prosecco hills for the wedding, take a day to properly explore them! If you're not fed up from the wedding, you can book a tasting at a local winery.
- Bassano del Grappa: A charming town located at the foothills of the Alps, famous for its picturesque wooden bridge designed by Palladio (Ponte Vecchio) and for being the birthplace of Italy's famous spirit, Grappa. Also, try the mezzo e mezzo at the Grapperia Nardini, right next to the old bridge.
- The Dolomites: The best mountains in the world! If you are serious and want to hike properly, May might be still a bit early. The rifugi could be closed and some trails, too. To get info one should call these rifugi for the latest news. But you can always go for an easy hike or visit one of the many villages around. Always worth it.
- Venice: We are going to Venice on Tuesday to enjoy a nice walk and the spritz and ciccetti the city offers!
